Fabulist operates Fathom, a mobile puzzle game for iOS and Android. This policy explains what data Fathom collects, how it is used, and how to request deletion.

1. Data Fathom collects

Account identifiers. Fathom creates an anonymous Firebase player on first launch. If you choose to link Apple or Google sign-in in Settings, Firebase may receive the provider identifier and email address or name made available by that provider.

Game progress. Fathom stores puzzle results, progress, solve metadata, hints used, reset counts, clean-solve state, and related gameplay state. Some progress may be synced to Firebase Firestore when backend services are available.

Purchases. Fathom Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. Fabulist does not receive your payment card details.

Analytics and diagnostics. Fathom uses Firebase Analytics for app events such as puzzle started, puzzle completed, hint requested, and settings changes. Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash logs, device details, app version, operating system version, and stack traces when the app fails.

Local data. Fathom stores settings and puzzle progress on your device using shared preferences and SQLite. Local data may remain on the device until you reset progress, delete the app, or clear app storage through your operating system.

Support messages. If you contact support, Fabulist receives the email address and information you include in the message.

2. How data is used

To operate Fathom and save puzzle progress.
To restore and verify Fathom Pro purchases.
To support optional account recovery and cross-device sync.
To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and understand broad gameplay usage.
To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

3. Third-party services

Fathom uses these services to operate the app:

Firebase by Google for authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config.
RevenueCat for in-app purchase entitlement management.
Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, purchases, refunds, and store transaction records.
Apple Sign In and Google Sign-In if you choose to link an account.

4. Sharing

Fabulist does not sell personal information and does not use advertising networks in Fathom. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, when required to operate the app, process support requests, comply with law, or protect Fabulist and players.

5. Retention

Account and synced progress data are retained while your player account remains active or as needed to provide the app. Local data remains on your device until reset or removed. Purchase and transaction records may be retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or Fabulist as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, and legal compliance.

6. Your choices

Use Fathom without creating a visible account.
Optionally link Apple or Google sign-in in Settings.
Reset local progress from Settings.
Delete a linked account from Settings, or request deletion through the delete account page.

7. Children

Fathom is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated when Fathom changes or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
